In the summer of 2019 I watched my first F1 race. My dad was sitting down and watching tv and he just happened to flip to the channel. I sat down and we watched it together, and the rest is history…

This would be a really short article if that was all huh? Well after seeing that first race I started  to look up more stuff about it and my dad agreed to tape the next race for me to watch. I slowly started to get more and more into and I didn’t miss a single race in the second half of the 2019 season, even if that meant I had to get up at 4:10 in the morning to watch.

I was coming home to watch Albert Park this March. I had just stepped on the ferry when I heard the news it had been cancelled. Like all the other fans of the sport I was rightfully crushed, but I kept myself entertained while watching all the online gaming shenanigans. When we finally started off again I was hysterical, and I watched every race of the season no matter what.

For the first time in my life I was sure what I wanted to do. I want to be a part of this sport more than anything. My ultimate goal is to become a team principal someday. It’s a little bit of an lofty goal but I am working towards it. Every day I learn a little bit more about the sport. I have an ever growing collection of books that let me read about everything and anything relating to the sport. I have a plan in place to ensure I at least get to be a part of the sport in a small way.

Formula one has something for everyone. The minute I watched my first race I was completely hooked and I always will be. F1 is the biggest part of my life and one day I’ll make it, I just have to wait a little bit. A little patience never hurt anyone.
